Since the invention of the contact lenses, it has gained wide spread acceptance all over the world. Though the idea of a contact lens was formulated by Leonardo Da Vinci in the early 1508, the major contribution towards contact lenses where contributed by the Czech chemist Otto Wichterle. So the Czech chemist Otto Wichterle along with his assistant Drahoslav Lim has developed the modern form of contact lenses and also the gel used for their production. Now a day a variety of contact lenses is available in the market. On the mode of usability the contact lenses can be classified as daily wear contact lenses, extended wear contact lenses and the continuous wear contact lenses. So a daily wear contact lens is a type of contact lens that is designed to wear the whole day and which is required to be removed before sleeping. The daily contact lenses or the daily wear contact lenses are in popularity since it is cheap and is easy to handle.
