What Is CD Duplication?
CD duplication is a copying or
burning process rather than manufacture. This is because the CD’s used in the
process has already been manufactured. Thus the process of duplication involves
burning the digital information to these pre- manufactured recordable disks.
This process is often used when a copy of 500 numbers is required. Thus the
duplication of CD’s refer to dry CD’s and has much faster turn time, simply
because a stamp does not need to be made. The process of duplication can be
started as soon as the master is received. For duplicating a CD all you need to
have is a computer with a CD or DVD writer commonly known as CD-RW or DVD-RW.
So once if you have a computer with the desired rewritable CD or DVD drive you
can duplicate a CD in just a couple of minutes. Apart from having a Computer
with the CD drive you need to have some software for duplicating the CD’s. These
softwares are commonly known as Burning software. So for quantities of 500 and above it is more
cost effective to consider CD replication rather than CD duplication.
